Visitez Le Château
Lespinassat

Les Remparts has proven to be a popular stopover for wine lovers visiting the region. With this in mind we work closely with some of the smaller Chateaux of the area who produce quality distinctive wines, none more so than Chateau Lespinassat. The owner of Lespinassat Agnes Verseau, prides herself in making wines according to the traditional methods of the region. This includes picking all the grapes by hand with her team of “vandageurs.”

There is a full range of wines produced at Chateau Lespinassat according to the years harvest. The delicate dry whites of Montravel use a blend of Semillon, Muscatel and Sauvignon Blanc.

There are also the classic sweeter white wines of the area ranging from the fragrant Cotes de Montravel Moelleux to the intense honey sweetness of the Carpé Diem.

There are two varieties of Rosé on offer. One is a light and fruity delicate wine enjoyed within twelve months of production to the bottle aged Rosé with a little more character.

The Chateau Lessipassat Reds are classic wines of the area. The characteristic flavours are developed by aging the wines a little more than many other wines of the area. The 2000 Absolue has been recognised in many wine guides as a fine example of a Bergerac Rouge and is very popular at tastings.

While staying at Les Remparts we can arrange a private tour and tasting at the Chateau. For more information please click HERE.
